My name is Hope Siegel, I graduated from the College of Wooster with a B.A. in Creative Writing where I learned (among other things) how to turn my ideas into spellbinding stories. Over the years I've honed my writing skills and now I work as an editor specializing in fantasy.

I believe that a good editor takes more than a good dictionary. It takes an insightful knowledge of the craft and the passion to keep learning. I hope to give my clients more than a few red pen marks on a page. Instead I will give them a detailed account of what's lacking and solutions they can use moving forward.

This blog is an account of what I've learned in my writing career, and what I'm still doing to improve. The name "Relax, It's Just a Draft" is a reminder not to get tied up worrying that your work isn't good enough and to keep moving forward. I hope that my work will help you find your passion for writing as I have.
